And Madge is such an important character! How will Katniss see the uprising in District 8 in Catching Fire when Madge - so far - doesn’t exist in the movies? If they just randomly pop her up in Catching Fire, then it won’t make sense to the ‘just watch the movie’ people. MADGE gave her the pin. MADGE loves Gale. MADGE is Katniss’s only friend that is a girl. MADGE practically saves Gale’s life in Catching Fire because she has the strong medication to subside his pain. It was MADGE’S house where Katniss saw the video that was meant for MADGE’S father. You know him - the mayor of District 12.
‘He’s a painter. He’s a baker. He likes to sleep with his windows open. He never takes sugar with his tea. And he always double-knots his shoelaces.
So when he asks “You love me. Real or not real?” I say. “Real.”’
Alma Coin. Right from the start, I couldn’t stand that woman. I swear, she drives me insane. She is EXACTLY like Snow, except for the fact that she doesn’t want the Hunger Games. Everything else would be the same horrors as before - in fact, she wanted to torture the Capitol with another HG’s - which I agree with Katniss for her vote - but I don’t think we should blame the Capitol. They grew up with this, and they can’t change what they were brainwashed to believe. I just hate her. But, since she is from Mockingjay, this is only a fanfiction picture. If I had to chose someone from THG, I would pick Glimmer or Marvel. Just, screw district 1.
I hate the fact that every time I see this I want to start crying all over again.
Especially now that I can connect it to my two favorite boys - Snape and Peeta. Of course, it will always be more of a Snape thing than Peeta, but they both have the exact same reason for uttering this single word. They both used this to proclaim their never dying, always yielding love for the girls that they thought were impossible to ever call their own. Of course, in the end, Peeta was a bit more lucky with getting her, but it took so much pain and loss of memories, that it might’ve been just as bad. I ache for Snape though. He’s such a good guy, and he died to keep the son he deserved safe from the man he had been deceiving. For anyone who doesn’t respect Snape - f*ck you.
